Aim:

1. To give students knowledge and experience in project planning and control methods

2. To set an engineering design problem which requires a solution to be developed by a team. In developing the solution to allow students to identify and experience the special organizational and communication needs required when working in groups. 


This course aims to develop a reflective level of understanding of the management and control of engineering projects and the risks that are associated with them. In addition, the course aims to explore the multiple relationships and roles of the various project stakeholders and critically appraises their contribution to the project management process.

Generally, to develop skills of analysis, evaluation, synthesis and reflection required of a professional in a design and construction management role.
This course aims to develop a reflective level of understanding in management across a range of contemporary Engineering Management issues including Information management, human resource management, industrial relations, Quality, Supply chains, business development, product policy and product development.
