Synopsis

This beautiful course exposes a learner to the rudiments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The course delves into two disciplines of equal importance viz. Electronics and Electrical Power. Success in this endeavour enables you to pursue the followup courses at the Diploma level or you may choose instead to read for the BTEC HND qualification as an excellent alternative.

In the Electronics section of your course you will cover the basic passive electrical components (R, L, and C) followed by the active electronic components (Diodes, Transistors and ICs).You will then study the essentials of electrical power (Generation,Transmission, Distribution and Utilization). You then continue your studies with an overview of the electromagnetic devices (AC Power Transformers, Generators and  Electric Motors) .

This course requires a reasonable mathematics and physics background. The material is at  NQF level 3 which is the Technical equivalent of CAPE or GCE A Level. Think what this means for you.

Thank you for embarking on this interesting, exciting and rewarding journey.

Respect
