This course aims to enhance students' understanding of digital number systems and coding techniques; and to provide an introduction to the Boolean logic and how it can be used to solve real design problems.

This course aims to strengthen and extend students' mathematical skills, to enable students to appreciate the use of mathematics as an engineering tool and to build up a students' level of competence in applying mathematical methods to solve engineering problems.

This course aims to provide students with an experience of modern computer aided design methodologies such as schematic capture, circuit simulation, and printed circuit board (PCB) design and will develop students' understanding of a variety of modern PCB manufacture and assembly techniques.

The aims of this course are to promote the ability to work on an independent basis, with limited supervision, whilst fostering problem-solving skills and the ability to integrate material from different subject areas. Additionally this course aims to enable the students to follow written directions for the construction, testing and use of an engineering product, as well as practicing the development of specifications and their subsequent implementation.

The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the role of the professional engineer working within an organization and a management structure. Furthermore, it aims to provide an awareness of the

theory and practice of management and the management of human resources in an engineering environment. Finally, the course aims to provide the students with key knowledge in specific areas of business and management practices in order to meet the demands of the highly competitive engineering industry.
